Ram-groping festival turns heads

The annual ram-groping festival which will take place at Sævangur in Steingrímsfjörður, west Iceland on Sunday has drawn considerable attention from international media.

 According to local website www.baejarinsbesta.is, American press are very interested in doing a story on the festival this year. It's the Strandir sheeping association that hosts the festival, which revolves around contestants groping rams to assess their value.

There are two categories in the competion, one for experienced ram judges and one for those who have never tried their hand at groping a ram before.
