Posh and secretive 31. maí 2006 14:30 101 Hótel, hverfisgata 10, Reykjavik 101 Hotel, a member of Design Hotels (insert murmurs of approval here) is an upscale boutique hotel in the heart of Reykjavík's thriving downtown. Well, that's essentially what the marketing material says. It also says that the hotel's interior "communicates refined elegance, a stylish sense of comfort prevading throughout". Heck, there's even a posh gym and Jacuzzi in the basement. The adjoining restaurant and bar is certainly always buzzing with Reykjavík's beautiful people (or at least the ones who can afford a 1300 krónur cocktail), and the hotel regularly makes travel magazines' lists of best places to stay. I cannot personally verify this, however, as when I went to see the rooms for review purposes, I was curtly told that the staff was unable to show rooms and given a brochure instead. If someone is trendy and important enough to stay here, please write us at reykjavík.com and let us know what is behind those carefully guarded doors. - Eliza Reid Hverfisgata 10, 101 Reykjavík Accommodation News in English Mest lesið „Bara, hvað dettur gömlu fólki í hug að gera?“ Innlent Ísraelskir ferðamenn með ógnandi tilburði á palestínsku kaffihúsi Innlent Brotist inn í Barnaloppuna Innlent Fjöldi ökumanna á von á kæru Innlent Kristján Kristjánsson kveður Sprengisand Innlent Eldflaugum og drónum rignir yfir Kænugarð og Moskvu Erlent „Þessa vanlíðan þekkir enginn nema að hafa upplifað hana“ Innlent Tólf látnir eftir að ferðamannarúta hafnaði í skurði Erlent Þrengja Reykjaveg og loka tveimur götum við Laugarnesskóla Innlent Herkvaðning í Rússlandi vofir yfir Úkraínumönnum Erlent
