NFS off the air

NFS, the 24 hour newschannel started up by 365 Media one year ago has been taken off the air. According to CEO of 365 Media, Ari Edwald, the tv station had endured heavy losses that called for this action to be taken. However, many of the programmes on NFS as well as news staff will simply be transferred to Stöð 2 (channel 2 ) also owned by 365 Media. Twenty people lost their jobs at NFS, including managing director Róbert Marshall. Edwald said to press that 365 Media will be focusing its attention on the internet, and NFS's input there,  in the coming year.
