Brian Jonestown Massacre to Iceland 1. nóvember 2006 10:12 Brian Jonestown Massacre: Reykjavik concert on November 29th American rock band The Brian Jonestown Massacre will play a concert at Nasa on November 29th. The band's singer and songwriter, Anton Newcombe has been to Iceland twice before due to his friendship with Icelandic rock band Singapore Sling. „ Anton loves Iceland and we've been wanting them to play here for a long time. It finally worked out and it's going to be good," says Henrik Björnsson of Singapore Sling. The Brian Jonestown Massacre have been on a European tour and Iceland is the last place they will play. The band has a large following of indie fans in America, and two years ago a documentary was made about Newcombe and the singer of the Dandy Warhols, a film that raised quite a few eyebrows. Singapore Sling are recording an EP album to be released at the end of this year. They are also finalising a contract with 8mm Records in Berlin, who will be releasing the new EP as well as a „best of" collection of Singapore Sling's songs from their last three albums.
