Family Performance 10. nóvember 2006 12:07 A new piece by Lára Stefánsdóttir for the Icelandic Dance Company The Icelandic Dance Company will open its doors in November and stage three family shows that fit both the young and the old. The company would like to make it easier for people to get to know the art of dance and invite them to see how much fun it is to see a dance performance. The Icelandic Dance Company points out that there is not much common knowledge of dance as an artform in Iceland, however Icelanders are known to visit the theatres more than other nations. It takes a little bit more to get Icelanders to show up for dance performances - at least for the first time. The Company would like to invite children under the age of 12 every Saturday in November. Teenagers from the age 13 to 16 get half price tickets. The performance is made out of pieces from Luna by Lára Stefánsdóttir, Sweet and Sour by Didy Veldman and Screen-Saver by Rami Be‘er. The first performance is at 2 o‘clock tomorrow.
